Online corrections of PAN card and steps involved.
Now a days the use of PAN number is mandatory in many financial and non financial transaction. PAN card is one of the important documents that a person should have at a given point of time. Whether you file an income tax or apply for a loan or open a bank account, a PAN card is deemed necessary document for it.

However, there are times when you find out that certain wrong information on your PAN card. If you are someone who has a defective PAN card with wrong data on it, you need to rectify it. Rectifying the information on the PAN card is not a difficult task as you assume and it can also be easily corrected online while sitting at home with convince.
Online corrections of PAN card :
Follows these online steps to correct any information in PAN,which you think require correction.
Step 1
Go to the website of NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited) which is registar of PAN. It is only through this website that you will be able to rectify your PAN dat.
Step 2
Open the official website and then select the type of application. There are various options are available on the website. You have to select the following option- changes or correction in existing PAN data or reprint of PAN card.
Step 3
You will be prompted to fill some important information followed by a captcha code. You are required to upload any document like- Aadhar Card, Passport etc. You have to pay a fee online after making the upload.---------------------------------------------------------------------
Fee for PAN corrections and reprint.
The fee for corrections / reprint of PAN is Rs 110(Including GST) for residents.
For NRI the fee for corrections/ reprint is Rs 100/- this includes the application fee, postal charges and GST @18%.

Step 4
After the completion of the payment process a Bank Reference Number and Transaction I will generated. Fill up the form which appears next page in website and point out the wrong data which require to be corrected in the PAN data.
Step 5
Submit the completed form online and wait for few days. A new PAN card will be sent to your registered postal address. In few cases NSDL seeks manual clarification through letter from the applicants.
