The board of directors of the state-owned and recently listed Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is scheduled to meet at the end of this may to declare the financial results for the fiscal year and quarter ended March 2022.
It is informed that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Life Insurance Corporation of India is scheduled to be held on May 30, 2022, LIC said in a regulatory filing on Tuesday to NSE and BSE.

The life insurance behemoth, which was listed on the both NSE and BSE earlier this month on May 17, said the board will consider and approve the audited financial results (standalone and consolidated) for the last quarter and financial year ended March 31, 2022.

In this meeting the borad will also consider payment of LIC dividend for 2022, if any, LIC said in the regulatory.
The much sought-after IPO (initial public offer) of LIC made its debut at around 8 per cent less than its issue price leading to loss to IPO investors, in a choppy market condition mainly because of the geopolitical tensions arising out of the Russia-Ukraine war and aggressive interest cut for both US Fed and Reserve Bank of India in an unscheduled action.

LIC IPO, India's largest IPO till date, had closed with more than 3 times subscription. The government of India sold more than 22.13 crore shares or a 3.5% stake in LIC through the initial public share sale. The price range for LICI IPO was set between ₹902 and 949 per share and there was upfront discount for policy holder, retail investors and employee category.
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LICI) shares were listed at 8.11 per cent discount at Rs 872 per share on both stock exchange on May 17, as against its issue price of Rs 949 pe piece.The initial loss was limited to police holders and retail investors because of upfront discount given by the Govt during Initial Public Offering (IPO). LIC Divided 2022 is also going to get some relief to IPO investors on loss on there investment.
The LICI scrip was trading 1.12 per cent up at Rs 826 apiece on BSE during proof reading of article. This is also important to inform the public as per rules the any dividend payment is get adjusted in share price on ex dividend.
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LICI)was formed by merging and nationalising 245 private life insurance companies on September 1, 1956, with an initial capital investment of ₹5 crore. As of December 2021 the IRDA Data says, LICI had a market share of 61.6% in terms of new business premiums or gross written premium.
